Security

Security basics

By default, every chat has end-to-end (E2E) encryption enabled. Verum Messenger developers and employees cannot read your messages, view media files sent in chats and listen to your calls.

End-to-end encryption technology is a way of transferring information where only the users participating in the communication can view the information that has been transferred. As a result of using this method, third parties cannot decrypt or obtain cryptographic keys, since they only exist on your device.

Correspondence is available only for the chat participants themselves - no one other than the recipients can view messages, photos, audio or video. Even if the phone falls into the hands of third parties, they will not be able to enter the application - Verum Messenger has a passcode or protection with Touch ID or Face ID at the entrance.

Change device

Along with high security, you can not worry about data loss by following a number of rules for using the application.

When installing Verum Messenger on another device or reinstalling, you can recover all data using the Recovery Key. The key can be obtained during registration and in the settings.

Action Notifications

Keep all correspondence under your control. Verum Messenger warns you and the other person about taking screenshots, copying, forwarding messages and files in chats, as well as saving files to the device by one of the participants.

Quick cleaning

Verum Messenger has the ability to clean to choose from “All chats and calls” or “All chats, calls and contacts”, thereby completely clearing all the information in the application in a few taps.
