Transfer account to another device

If you want to use your old Verum ID on another phone, you need to follow a few steps to transfer it. To do this, you will need your saved Recovery Key.

NB: For security purposes, Verum Messenger only allows you to log in to one account from one device. If you log into your account on another device, the first one will be logged out.

1. Make sure you have a saved Recovery Key and copy it to your clipboard.
2. Make sure you remember your Verum ID and password for your account.
3. Download Verum Messenger on your new phone.
4. Log in to your account using your Verum ID and password.
5. Restore chats using the Recovery Key.

After activating the Verum account on the new device, the account on the old phone will be logged out and without the saved Recovery Key it will not be possible to restore chats.

Therefore, before logging into your account on a new device, you must save the key on the old one and then enter it on the new one.
