Forward and delete messages

Forward messages

You can forward messages from one chat to another in Verum Messenger. This works with both text messages and media files.

To forward a message:

  1. Open the chat with the message you want to forward.
  2. Long-press on the message.
  3. Select “Forward” from the context menu.
  4. Choose the contact or group you want to forward the message to.
  5. Confirm the action.

The message will be sent to the selected chat. You can search for a specific contact or group using the search bar at the top of the screen.

Delete messages

You can delete messages from your chats at any time. When deleting a message, you can choose to delete it only for yourself or for all participants.

To delete a message:

  1. Open the chat with the message you want to delete.
  2. Long-press on the message.
  3. Select “Delete” from the context menu.
  4. Choose one of the options:
    • Delete for me — the message will be removed only from your device, but the other person will still see it.
    • Delete for all — the message will be removed from all chat participants’ devices.

Once a message is deleted “for all”, it cannot be recovered by any participant.

Select multiple messages

You can select multiple messages at once to forward or delete them in bulk:

  1. Open the chat.
  2. Long-press on any message to open the context menu.
  3. Select the messages you want by tapping on them.
  4. Use the action buttons at the bottom of the screen to forward or delete the selected messages.
