About cache

Verum Messenger stores cached data on your device to speed up the loading of media files and other content. Over time, this cache can take up a significant amount of storage space on your phone.

Clear cache

You can free up storage space by clearing the cache at any time. This will remove temporary files stored on your device but will not delete your messages, contacts, or chats.

To clear cache:

1. Open Verum Messenger.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap “Clear Cache”.
4. Confirm the action.

The current cache size is displayed next to the “Clear Cache” option, so you can see how much space will be freed.

Clearing the cache will not delete your messages or media files from chats. However, previously viewed media may need to be downloaded again from the server when you open them next time.

Media files older than 30 days may not be available for re-download. For more information, see Media storage.
