About action notifications

Verum Messenger automatically notifies all chat participants when someone performs certain actions with messages and media. These notifications appear as system messages directly in the chat, so everyone is always aware of what is happening with the conversation.

Action notifications help you keep your correspondence under full control.

Screenshot notifications

When a chat participant takes a screenshot, a notification appears in the chat:

[Name] have taken a screenshot!

• Works in both private and group chats.
• Visible to all chat participants.
• Triggered automatically — there is no way to take a screenshot without other participants knowing about it.

Copy message notifications

When a chat participant copies a message, a notification appears in the chat:

[Name] copied a message!

• Works only in private (one-on-one) chats.
• Visible to both participants.
• Triggered when a message text is copied via the context menu.

Forward message notifications

When a chat participant forwards messages to another chat, a notification appears in the original chat:

[Name] forwarded a message!

If multiple messages are forwarded at once:

[Name] forwarded [N] messages!

When media files are forwarded:

[Name] forwarded a media!

• Works in both private and group chats.
• Visible to all chat participants.
• The notification appears in the chat from which the messages were forwarded.

Save media notifications

When a chat participant saves a photo or video to their device, a notification appears in the chat:

[Name] have save a media!

• Works in both private and group chats.
• Visible to all chat participants.
• Triggered when someone saves a media file sent by another participant.

Summary

All action notifications are sent as encrypted messages through Verum Messenger’s secure protocol. They cannot be deleted or hidden, which ensures full transparency in your conversations.
