What is a passcode

The security and protection of you and your messages is very important to us. We’ve implemented some basic controls in Verum Messenger that you can customize to your liking to stay safe. One of them is a passcode.

This is a six-digit code to enter the application in addition to the phone password. If this feature is enabled, then no one will be able to enter the Verum Messenger application without entering the passcode, even if your phone is unlocked.

You will be prompted to create a passcode when you register your account.

It is recommended to use a passcode that you can easily remember, because it is not possible to recover it, since it is stored only in the memory of your phone.

How to change the passcode

To change your Verum Messenger passcode, follow these steps:

1. Go to App settings > Passcode > Change passcode.
2. Verify your identity with biometrics or a passcode.
3. Create a new Passcode and repeat it.
