What is a Recovery Key
For maximum security, Verum Messenger encrypts all chats with a unique Encryption Key.

The recovery key is the only way to restore chats after logging out or transferring them to a new device.
How to get a Recovery Key
You receive your first Recovery Key when registering an account.
If your Recovery Key has been lost, then you can create a new Recovery Key, even if you do not remember the old one, but all old messages created with the old key will be lost.
ATTENTION! After receiving a new key, messages created with the old key will become inaccessible.
How to restore chats with a Recovery Key
After logging out of your account or logging in on a new device, you will need to enter your Recovery Key to restore all chats, otherwise all chats will be encrypted.
