Screen recording protection
Verum Messenger blocks screen recording of chats and media. When the screen recording function is active on your device, the content of chats, the media viewer, and the chat list will not be captured in the recording — they will appear as a blank area.
This protection works automatically and cannot be disabled. It applies to:
- All private and group chats.
- The media viewer (photos and videos).
- The chat list.
- Offline chats.
Screen recording protection ensures that even if someone is recording your screen, the contents of your chats will not be visible in the recording.
Screenshot detection
Verum Messenger does not block screenshots, but it detects when a screenshot is taken and immediately notifies all participants in the chat.
When you or your contact takes a screenshot:
- A notification appears in the chat: “[Name] have taken a screenshot!”
- This notification is visible to all participants in the chat.
- The notification works in both private and group chats.
This means that any attempt to take a screenshot will always be noticed by all participants in the conversation.
How it works
- Screen recording — the content of the app is hidden from any screen recording software. You will not be able to record a video of your chats.
- Screenshots — screenshots are not blocked, but a notification is immediately sent to the chat when one is taken. All chat participants will know about it.
These features work together to provide maximum privacy for your conversations. You always know if someone has tried to capture the contents of your chat.
